PPC's Chairman Tran Ngoc Cang opened the 13th session



​The 13th session of Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Council XI (PPC) started on July 22 chaired by Provincial Party Committee’s deputy secretary – PPC’s chairman, Tran Ngoc Cang, with an attention of 48 PPC members.




This three-day session (July 22-24) is to review as many as reports made by the Provincial People’s Committee, Provincial People’s Court, Provincial People’s Procuracy, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Quang Ngai.


The 13th session is scheduled to ratify 12 resolutions submitted by Provincial People’s Committee and is to elect the chairman for the Provincial People’s Committee in term of 2011-2016.


Opened the session in the morning, PPC’s Chairman Tran Ngoc Cang said that during the first six months of the year 2014, as many as problems had occurred in the world and on the West Sea. Besides, the country and province had also faced with some difficulties. There were as many as increased economic figures during the time, particularly in fields of industry, agro-forest-fishery, tax revenue, and the decline of bad debts.


However, there had been several declined statistics compared with the same period last year such as low figures of GDP, industrial production, and disbursement of investment projects. Besides, the province has seen the delay of land acquisition on the national highway expanding project, the delay of implement progress of new rural development program, and several difficulties of enterprises in the province.


To reach the targets set forth for the year 2014, the PPC’s chairman requested all members to seriously discuss and raise advanced ideas in order to ratify effective and advanced resolutions.
