 (CPV) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnam in July reached nearly 565,000, a year-on-year rise of 4.6%, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT). This figure brought the total number of foreign tourists to the country in the first seven months of this year to 4.85 million, up 15.6% compared to the same period last year. Of this total, more than 2.92 million foreign visitors came to the country for entertainment, an increase of 13.9%, while foreign arrivals coming for business and visiting relatives was over 815,000 (up 16.1%) and 836,000 (up 19.5%), respectively. Over the past seven months, almost all Vietnam’s tourist markets saw increases compared to the same period last year. Hong Kong (China) enjoyed the largest growth at 111.3%, followed by Germany (99.4%), Russia (27%) and Laos (26.7%)./. |
