PANO – Youth Union Chapter of Ho Chi Minh City on July 29th started the ten-day voluntary summer program in 2014 in districts of Attapeu and Champasack provinces of Laos.
Accordingly, during the program, 68 participating volunteers will provide free health check-ups and medicines to local people, offer 6,000 notebooks to Lao students, ten sets of computers to Attapeu province, hand over two Vietnam-Laos Youth friendship houses to localities and install an electricity supply system for needy people.
Besides, the Vietnamese youths will equip Lao locals with techniques of planting rubber trees and growing rice, and popularize computing skills for their students.
These activities aim to promote vanguard and voluntary spirit of youths, making contributions to consolidating the friendship between youths of the two countries.
