PANO – The Air-force Officers training School on August 18th marked its 55th traditional day and received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister.
Since its establishment, the school has trained over 1,000 pilots, 5,000 aviation technical cadets and thousands of technicians, and commanders, parachuters and political officers. Besides, it also provided training courses for Lao and Cambodian troops.
At present, the entire unit’s instructors have certificates on teaching method and more than 40 percent of them have MA or higher degrees.
The school has attached special importance to heightening its cadres’ and lecturers’ expertise as well as upgrading and purchasing more facilities to promote the teaching and learning quality.
Addressing the event, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, asked the school to further the political and ideology education work, continuously improve its manuals and teaching methods, and seriously implement decrees of the Ministry of National Defence on building the school as a model.
At the ceremony, the General offered the school the PM’s certificate of merit.
