Big bomb deactivated

PANO – Sappers of the Hai Duong provincial Command successfully deactivated a bomb weighing about 2,000 pounds on August 1st.

Previously, a local scavenger found the bomb, 2.5m in length and 0.5m in diameter, in the Thai Binh river bed in Nam Dong commune, Hai Duong city.

Immediately, the provincial command sent sappers to the site to move the bomb to a safe place for deactivation.

Since the early this year, the sappers safely removed three bombs.
