Vietnamese educators, especially foreign language teachers, are invited to a training course designed to make German language teachers.
The 11-month-long course is sponsored by Germany’s Goethe-Institut (Goethe Institute) and supported by the Ministry of Education and Training’s National Foreign Language 2020 Project together with other local departments of education and training in Vietnam.
Participants will spend eight months learning German at the Goethe-Institut in Hanoi, then another three months studying language skills and gaining methodical-didactic knowledge in Germany.
The Goethe-Institut assumes all costs of the course, including a US$300 monthly allowance, air tickets to Germany, and accommodations there.
Interested Vietnamese teachers can submit applications to their residing location’s Department of Education and Training and their copies to the Goethe-Institut by August 29.
Candidates are required to be experienced in teaching a foreign language in high school in Vietnam, to have time for the course, to be interested in using modern methods for teaching foreign languages, and to be willing to teach the German language in a school in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue City, Da Nang City, or Nghe An Province after the training course.
