PANO – The Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and the city’s Peace Committee on August 12th held a ceremony in Hanoi to conclude the contest, “Hanoi – The city for peace” and hand over awards to contestants with outstanding works.
Accordingly, the organizers presented one first group prize to Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training and one first individual prize to Bui Gia Hai from the Academy of People’s Security.
Launched two months ago, the contest received more than 1 million entries with recommended measures to develop the Capital to be the heart of the nation and the safe and friendly destination for international friends.
The contest, part of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954), was to raise people’s awareness of the importance of peace, as well as arouse the pride of the Hanoians of their city for peace.
