Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Manh Hien on August 19 welcomed Mr. Kawada Atsusuke, Chief Representative of the Japan External Trade Organization Office in Ha Noi (JETRO Ha Noi).
Mr. Kawada Atsusuke said about 30% of Japanese enterprises were wishing to invest in Vietnam, including Hai Duong. Of 40 Japanese businesses in Hai Duong surveyed by JETRO Ha Noi, 80% desired to further expand investment and business.
Mr. Kawada Atsusuke suggested that Hai Duong province in the coming time hold a private dialogue between the Japanese firms currently operating in Hai Duong and the provincial relevant authorities to lift the difficulties and obstacles the enterprises are facing.
The businesses also wished to expand their investment in such fields as agriculture, restaurant, hotel, or beautification service, etc.
PPC Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien expected JETRO Ha Noi to continue helping the Japanese enterprises in Hai Duong stabilize production and expand investment.
Hai Duong province will further develop service types to serve Japanese experts and staff working and living in Hai Duong; and create the best conditions for the Japanese contractors performing contract packages under Ha Noi – Hai Phong expressway as sheduled.
Hai Duong provincial relevant authorities will acquire Japanese businesses’ opinions to intensify administrative procedure reform and facilitate efficient investment and production of the enterprises.
Hai Duong is planned to build an industrial park exclusively for Japanese firms in the coming time, thereby attracting more Japanese investment projects.
The PPC Chairman agreed to hold a dialogue between Japanese enterprises and the provincial relevant authorities, which was scheduled in the coming mid-September.
