The Oktoberfest Festival in HCM city in 2013
PANO – The Oktoberfest Festival, the German biggest annual cultural event, will be held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in October, said the German Business Association (GBA) in Vietnam.
It is Germany’s biggest festival not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia, with the expected participation of over 15,000 people in HCM City and 2,500 in Hanoi.
“We are proud that the Oktoberfest Festival has now become an outstanding cultural event, which has been recognised by Vietnamese, German people in Vietnam, and also foreigners in the country. It serves as a cultural bridge, bringing people together and improving ties between the two countries”, added Chairman of the association Elmar Dutt.
