A representative of Phuc Son Cement Company (PSCCo) on the morning of August 7 said after an accident happened at Trai Son A quarry in An Son commune, Thuy Nguyen district (Hai Phong) left five dead, Hai Phong City People’s Committee has decided to suspend its operations at the quarry.
As a result, insufficient raw materials for production happens, so one of the two lines of the plant has to be halted.
Also according to the PSCCo representative, the company and the quarrying contractor, Kien Ngoc Co., have reached a civil agreement with the victims’ families and compensated the victims with a total amount of VND1.2 billion.
The company is also closely coordinating with relevant agencies to identify causes of the accident.
