Many agencies, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province support Quang Ngai's fishermen through the Fund
Since its establishment three years ago, the provincial Fishermen Support Fund has mobilized more than VND 40 billion from many agencies, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province for local fishermen.
The fund has provided VND 25 billion to assist over 350 fishermen and build houses for families of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims.
It also presented VND 100 million to the Vietnamese law enforcement authorities at sea and built two fishing vessels worth VND 14 billion VND for fishermen.
The timely support has helped fishermen in the province stabilize their lives and maintain operations at sea, contributing to the protection of the national sea and island sovereignty.
