(Cinet)- Prime Minister has approved for Project “Maintaining geology heritage, developing and managing network of geological park in Vietnam“. Accordingly, there are about 25-30 geological parks up to 2030.
The Project will carry out from 2014-2020 in some provinces and cities of the Central including Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Son La, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ha Noi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Qunag Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Ca Mau and Kien Giang.
The Project will consist of some activities about scientific research to maintain geological heritage and develop geological park; fulfill policy of maintenance; use in an effective way of geological heritage and geological park in Vietnam; enhance propaganda and increase more awareness of geological heritage; promote international cooperation.
The Project aims to maintain and use some geological heritages; manage and develop a network of geological park in Vietnam with some detail targets up to 2020; build to submit to some agencies to recognize 2-3 geological parks in a globe.
