After the success of the 1stJapanese Speech Contest 2013, Haiphongcontinues to organize the 2nd Japanese Speech Contest. The contest attracted the large participation of pupils, students and workers, which helps disseminate the Japanese culture and language, promote the Japanese learning movement in Haiphong and tighten good friendship affinity between the city and the Japanese organizations, businesses and localities. The 2nd Japanese Speech Contest was organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Union of Friendship Organizations, the Association of Japan-Haiphong Businesses and Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association. The contest was well-prepared from the beginning of April 2014. After receiving the entries, the Organizing Committee selected the best 20 candidates to enter the interview. The top six candidates were chosen to compete in the final round held on August 2nd at Haiphong City Convention Center. |
