HOA BINH (VNS) – Viet Nam has experienced a sharp decrease in the annual number of deaths due to rabies, from 400 in the 1991-1995 period to 100 in the 2010-2012 period.
The report was released at a meeting in this northern province last Saturday in response to World Rabies Day on September 28.
So far this year, only 50 rabies deaths have been reported, a significant drop from the 105 reported last year. – VNS
