In the 2012-2014 period, Ho Chi Minh City is spending nearly VND21 billion to exempt or reduce the school fees of over 12,000 students and pupils to assist them in joining vocational training courses and ultimately to find work, the city Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs reported. According to the department, it has worked with the City Bank for Social Policies to give credit support to over 47,500 pupils and students while giving instructions on investment for 5 district, vocational training centers, with VND10 billion in capital. In 5 districts in Ho Chi Minh City, over 6,700 people have been giving vocational training. However, free training of skills, foreign languages and informatics has not satisfied the demand, while the training of the rural young into laboring has not proved highly efficient./. |
