(VOV) – The Vietnam Olympic football team defeated their Bangladesh counterpart 4-2 in a friendly game in the Republic of Korea on September 10 in preparation for the 2014 Asian Games (ASIAD 17).
The match was held to help Coach Toshiya Miura, test the squad and his strategies for one last time before competing in ASIAD 17 which kicks off on September 15.
The Vietnam Olympic team started the game with a 4-4-2 formation and earned the first score in the 12th minute thanks to a goal by striker Mac Hong Quan.
Hoang Thinh continued the scoring with two goals in the 24th and 55th minute. Huynh Van Thanh made the final goal on 88 minutes.
The two goals of Bangladesh’s team were made in the 62nd and 75th minutes.
In ASIAD 17, the team is listed in group H. It is scheduled to compete with Iran on September 15 and Kyrgyzstan on September 22.
