A court in Ho Chi Minh City sentenced a local man to a year in jail on Wednesday for posting a nude picture of his ex-girlfriend on Facebook.
Phui Cam Senh, 39, received the sentence for “disgracing another“, judge said.
According to the indictment, Senh was in love with a woman who was his colleague at a company in Dong Nai Province, outside Ho Chi Minh City.
The married man falsely claimed he’d already divorced his wife when they became entangled.
Last July, the woman, identified only as H., sent Senh an SMS saying that she wanted to break up with him.
Senh threatened to post the woman’s nude picture online on Facebook if their relationship ended.
However, H. stuck with her decision.
Senh then signed up an account on the social utility and posted the nude image and shared it with his colleagues.
Local police arrested him right soon receiving a report from the victim.
