(VOV) – Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) hopes that Japan’s NHK Group will strengthen cooperation with VOV and help it improve the quality of broadcasting channels, especially in digitalising its radio programmes.
At a reception for a NHK delegation in Hanoi on September 11, VOV Deputy Director General Nguyen Xuan Huy said the meeting will help both sides share experience in producing radio and television programmes and advanced technologies being used at NHK.
Tsuruo Ogawa, NHK senior expert, said VOV and NHK share similarities in information dissemination, including information pre-, during and after natural disasters to ensure citizens’ safety.
In addition to television and radio programmes on natural disasters and conflicts, NHK also produces programmes on safety measures for citizens to undertake when disasters strike.
Cooperation between VOV and NHK has witnessed fine progress through many joint projects and many VOV officials and technicians have benefited from apprenticeships at NHK facilities in Japan.
