PANO – Long An Provincial Military Command (Vietnam) and Svay Rieng Provincial Military Sub-region (Cambodia) on November 6th discussed issues of common concern in the spirit of equality, friendship and mutual understanding.
Two sides signing memorandum of understanding
The issues discussed include information exchange, coordination in cross-border crime prevention and suppression, and effective measures to deal with incidents, which might occur along the shared border in line with the border agreements and regulations already reached by the two countries.
The two sides also agreed on maintaining regular meetings between the armed forces of the two provinces and strengthening the border law and regulation dissemination and education for people along the borderlines. The authorities of the two provinces are to provide timely support in case of natural disasters, epidemics and crises, contributing to tightening the fine relationship between the two provinces.
