Dung said in a report on the Government portal (chinhphu.vn) that he and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, while meeting on the sidelines of the 25th ASEAN Summit in Myanmar recently, agreed on support for oil projects involving PVN and Gazprom Neft.
He said he told Medvedev that the two sides should finalize documents and intergovernmental agreements on oil projects so that they could be signed during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s forthcoming visit to Russia.
On the basis of traditional friendship and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, Dung hopes Gazprom Neft will boost investment in the country, especially in oil and gas exploration and exploitation, petrochemicals and crude oil, so as to enhance economic, trade and investment ties between the two nations.
At the meeting in Hanoi, Dyukov showed his appreciation of the Government and other Vietnamese partners when implementing projects in Vietnam.
