General Staff to organize unarmed combat martial arts competition

PANO – Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff under the Vietnam People’s Army on November 20th asked the General Staff’s constituent units to complete the preparation for the popularization and accommodation of combatants in the coming Whole-Army Unarmed Combat Martial Arts Competition.

Having heard relevant organs’ reports on their preparation for the tourney, General Khanh, chairman of the meeting at Mieu Mon National Training Centre, urged them to concentrate on adjusting clothing for combatants, fixing the number of referees and time of each round, presentation of athletes’ cards and marking method of different events.



The Deputy Chief of the General Staff also laid stress on the rehearsals for the opening and closing ceremonies.


The competion hosted by the General Staff for the first time, will take place from December 12th to 18th.
