PANO – The Ho Chi Minh City Association for Children Protection on November 20th kicked off the project on the protection for children from needy migrant families in Ho Chi Minh City.
This VND 9.7 billion project is financed by the Vietnam-Denmark Friendship Association and implemented in 4 districts of the city from now to the end of 2017. The project is to provide basic education and vocational training, health insurance, knowledge on HIV/AIDS prevention, reproductive health, etc. for needy children. The project’s initial target would benefit at least 4,000 children.
The same day, the representative of the People’s Army Newspaper in the Mekong Delta and Gentraco JSC presented 1,000kg of rice to needy students (10kg each) of Ngai Tu and Binh Ninh secondary schools in Tam Binh district, Vinh Long Province. The support will contribute to actively encourage the students to strive harder for a better life.
