PANO – The General Department of Customs under the Ministry of Finance officially announced at a meeting on November 12th that the national single window (NSW) customs mechanism will be applied at international seaports.
Present at the event was Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, head of the national steering committee for ASEAN single-window mechanism.
Kick-starting the system
Accordingly, the national one-stop-shop electronic portal will be connected with the Ministry of Transport’s and relevant agencies’ electronic networks in the first phase of the procedures.
The system will initially be applied at seaports in Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau to provide NSW for vessels during exit, entry and transit.
