Northern city supports revolutionary contributors

Cam Pha city in the northern province of Quang Ninh has 11,524 beneficiaries’ and revolutionary contributors’ families. To help maintain their standard of living, many organizations and individuals have contributed practical and effective measures to support them.

Statistics from the city Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs show that since 2013, the department has approved the title “Vietnamese heroic mothers” for 14 mothers, paid a regular allowance to 1,420 beneficiaries with capital amounting to over VND42 billion, earmarked over VND217 million from the fund of gratitude to build and repair houses for 11 martyrs’ families, and spent over VND133 million buying orthopedic and rehabilitation devices for 127 people.


Fully realising the State policies, as of August 20, the city allocated a further VND4.3 billion from the central and provincial budget to improve housing conditions for 274 revolutionary contributors’ families of 575 families in need of housing support. To address housing demand for the rest, by the end of this year, the city decided to advance VND13.3 billion from the city budget to complete the program.


Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Chairman of the city People’s Committee, confirmed that the city would continue to increase dissemination of payment of gratitude so that the quality could be further increased./.
