On December 6th, the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice announced that 292 of the 298 passengers of the ill-fated aircraft in the MH17 plane crash had been identified. All identifications of the victims have been carried out in Hilversum, in the Netherlands by the National Forensic Investigation Team (LTFO) based on dental records, fingerprints or DNA. On November 16th, Dutch officials resumed removing the aircraft wreckage and human remains from the crash site of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. The team has collected 650 cubic meters of wreckage, plus human remains and personal possessions during their work at the crash site. On November 28th, six coffins carrying the remains of last victims have been flown from Ukraine to the Netherlands for identification. All 298 passengers and crew died when the Boeing 777-200ER flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down on July 17th over conflict-ridden eastern Ukraine. On December 1st, Malaysiahas finally been accepted as a full member of the MH17 criminal investigation team. Attorney-General, Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, said he received a notification accepting Malaysia as a full and equal member of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
