PANO – Military Zone 4 has handed over 24 houses to its needy troops. Each house was built at a cost of VND 60 million from the gratitude fund of the Ministry of National Defence and Military Zone 4.
This is among practical activities to encourage needy cadres and soldiers to overcome all difficulties to fulfill their assigned tasks.
On December 14th, the Traditional Association of Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Road organised the “Returning to the Roots” program to the Pac Bo Historical Relic in Ha Quang district and Tran Hung Dao Forest in Nguyen Binh district where the Liberation Army (the predecessor of the Vietnam People’s Army) was founded.
During the program, the association, organizations and benefactors presented nine houses and 100 blankets to its needy members. Since 2011, the unit has worked with others to build 1,700 houses, present 2,800 saving books and offer 1,300 scholarships to children of needy members.
Meanwhile, Regiment 692 of Division 301 under the Hanoi Capital Command has inaugurated a 60sq.m house for Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Hoang Long, a non-commissioned officer of the regiment’s Medical Company. The funding for the house construction was raised by the division’s officers and troops who also directly built the house. The unit also granted household facilities to help his family settle down their life.
