PANO – More than 2,000 people have come to find out more about the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) at a ten-day exhibition opened in the Museum of Can Tho city in celebration of 70 years of the VPA and 25 years of the Whole People Defence Festival.
According to the museum’s directorate, the exhibition, ending on December 23rd, introduced to the viewers more than 200 images, documents and objects highlighting the building, combat and growth of the VPA and Can Tho city’s armed force.
The event, as Tran Thanh Man, the city’s party committee’ secretary said, was meaningful to raise awareness of people from all walks of life, especially young generation, on the revolutionary nature, glorious tradition of the heroic VPA and the city’s armed force as well as heighten their responsibility in the cause of national construction and protection in the new context.
The exhibition was co-organized by Can Tho City Military Command and Can Tho Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
