Coming to the northern province of Hoa Binh, tourists can visit the Hoa Binh hydroelectric plan, caves, pagodas as well as ethnic minority villages.

Situated some 70 kilometres from Hanoi, tourists reach Hoa Binh city of the province. The hydroelectric plant is about 3 kilometres from the city.

The construction was built in Hoa Binh lake beside the famous Da river.

The huge industrial construction of the Vietnam electric sector is in charge of preventing floods, generating electricity, irrigating and smoothing waterways traffic.

Before the Son La hydroelectric plant, Hoa Binh hydroelectric plant was the largest in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, providing one third of the power productivity of the nation.

Coming to the area where machines are placed underground, tourists are introduced the way the machines operate and how the electricity is brought to the national grid.

The pride of the Vietnamese electric sector was built in from 1979 to 1994 with 8 groups of machines generating 1,920 MW. Moreover, the plant has become an attractive tourism site because of a complex linking nature with people.

One of destinations in Hoa Binh province is Ho Chi Minh statue on Tuong hill.
