As informed, after a two-day working trip to Attapeu, Quang Ngai provincial high-level leadership delegation continued to work in Champasak province, Lao PDR on 22 Dec.
Mr. Bounthong Divixay, Champasak the provincial Party Secretary, Governorreceived andworked with the delegation.
Mr. Bounthong Divixay highly appreciated the cooperation between the two provinces in recent years. He desired that two provinces will continue to cooperate on all fields where the two sides have strengths.
As shared, in the period 2012 – 2015, Quang Ngai supported Champasak province 60 scholarships in training Laotian students specialized IT, business administration, finance – banking at two Universities of Pham Van Dong, Finance and Accountancy; funded 5 billion VND to build the Center for disadvantaged people; donated computers to Champasak high School.
Besides, Quang Ngai Government organized many social activities of providing medical drug, treatment and granting scholarships to Champasak poor students.
At the meeting, the top leaders of the two provinces agreed to continue implementation of signed cooperation programs in the past time and signed a MOU to deploy new main cooperation contents in the period 2015 – 2016, including maintaining the experience exchange; implementing cooperation contents under the cooperation Regulation signed among provinces of Thailand, Lao, Vietnam; creating advantage conditions for investors, businesses to seek opportunities of investment and cooperation.
Quang Ngai continues to offer about 30 scholarships to Champasak province’s students; send teachers to teach Vietnamese for Laotian students in Champasak; support vocational training on production techniques of rice, livestock for Champasak agriculture sector and so on.
Quang Ngai also proposed Champasak to support Lao language training for Quang Ngai teachers; create favorable conditions for seeking investment opportunities of Quang Ngai enterprises.
