A delegation of doctors from Da Nang C Hospital has just provided free medical examination and medicine to over 2,000 ethnic people in the two mountainous districts of Son Ha and Tra Bong of the central Quang Ngai Province.
In addition, the delegation also presented gifts to local poor patients. Total cost of the aforesaid activities was about 200 million VND.
This is one of activities under a large-scale humanitarian campaign launched by the Ministry of Health with the aim of providing free medical treatment for at least one million poor people across the country.
Also under this program, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City Medical University Hospital, on December 19 offered free health check-up and medicines for more than 1,000 poor people in Son Tay district with the total fee of over VND 150 million.
