“Vietnamese generals through artworks” exhibition opens in Hanoi

(Cinet)- “Vietnamese generals through artworks” exhibition will open in Hanoi on December 29th to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army (1944-2014).


The exhibition will introduce documentary photos about generals in the construction of the Vietnam People’s Army, which will be made public for the very first time. The event’s highlight is the work by artist Phan Ke An; portrait lacquer painting by artist Tran Tuan Long; large-size portrait oil painting by artist Mai Duy Minh; poster collection by artist Ha Huy Le; large-size portrait water-colour by artist Nguyen Van Toan; and the first phase of 6-meter-Truong Ca work by artist Nguyen Doan Son.


The event aims at glorifying outstanding Vietnamese generals such as General, Command-in-chief Vo Nguyen Giap, General Nguyen Chi Thanh and others through sculpture, oil paintings, lacquer paintings, water-colours and applied fine arts.
