According to Bank for Social Policies (VBSP)-Phu Yen branch, in 2014, the bank disbursed 533.8 billion dongs for nearly 30,000 poor, nearly-poor households and other policy objects to get loan for business, improving lives.

From the bank’s capital, many unemployed laborers in the localities had jobs; the households that made loans have built more than 12,000 works of clean water and sanitation in rural areas; more than 3,200 households in disadvantaged areas had conditions for production and business; 6 traditional villages were restored, developed…
By end of the year, the total loans of Phu Yen VBSP reached 1,815.4 billion dongs with more than 93,785 households still outstanding, up 5.3% compared to the same period in 2013. The outstanding focuses on seven major programs, as followed: loans for poor households at 441.4 billion dongs, loans for students at more than 513 billion dongs, loans for poor households at 316.8 billion dongs, loans for clean water and sanitation works in rural areas at 238.3 billion dongs, loans for the production and business in disadvantaged areas at 192 billion dongs … overdue loans remained 6.7 billion dongs, accounting for 0.37% of total outstanding loans, marking a decrease of 53.9% from a year earlier.
