As informed by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross, Mr. Dinh Cong Danh: Under the guidance of Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross to take care of “Tet for the poor and A/O victims ” in Lunar New Year 2015, so far, the province has mobilized businesses, philanthropists in and outside the province to support 1,055 Tet gifts to poor families, A/O victims, orphaned, disabled children, elderly in localities, with the total value of 317 million dongs.

In particular, the Provincial Red Cross donated 650 gifts, Son Hoa district granted 405gifts. On average, each gift is worth 350,000 dongs.
In addition, the Provincial Red Cross mobilized free medical check-up for 1,500 poor people, all worth 188 million dongs; the Red Cross of Dong Xuan, Son Hoa districts, Song Cau town mobilized units to support 38 breeding calves(worth 416 million dongs) for project of Cow Bank to help poor and disadvantaged households that do not have a stable income, so as to gradually and sustainably escape from poverty.
