The development of industry, urban and human resource is to be continually the breakthrough mission of Quang Ngai province in 2015
A conference of carrying out the 2015 plan of socio-economic development was held on January 9.
TargetsThe Provincial People’s Committee (PPC)’s report shows that in 2015 Quang Ngai government will continually focus on three breakthrough missions of developing industry, urban and human resource as well as two key jobs of improving agriculture-rural and reducing poverty in 6 mountainous districts.
Regarding the specific targets of economy, in 2015 GRDP will increase by 7%-8%, while GRDP per capita will be 2,485 US$ per year.
In the structure of economy, the sector of industry-construction will cover 61%-62%, while service will fulfill 23%-24%, and agro-forestry-fishery will hold 14%-15%.
The 2015 yield of cereal is targeted to be 479,700 tons, and those of fish catching and aquaculture is estimated to be 157,000 tons.
Export turnover in 2015 is targeted to be 545 million USD, and the total revenue of tax collection is set forth to achieve 33,300 billion VND or over 1.5 billion USD.
For the targets of social, Quang Ngai Government in 2015 plans to create job opportunities for approximately 39,000 workers and will increase the ratio of trained labors to 45% of total provincial working-age population.
The conference was chaired by four Provincial People's Committee's leaders.
The report also reveals that the percentage of poor households is targeted to decline by 3.29% but the ratio of Quang Ngai residents to buy healthcare insurance is forecast to rise to 73%.
On the subject of environment, Quang Ngai will make efforts in increasing forest area to 50%, while the area of green zones in urbans will cover 70%, and the percentage of waste treatment in industrial zones and economic zones will be 75%.
Activity plans
At the conference, some key jobs were released to achieve targets set forth for the year 2015.
For economy, Quang Ngai will continually push up the innovation of administrative formalities, the development of industry-trade-service and the improvement of agriculture-new rural and urban.
For the sector of environment, the central provincial government is to strengthen further the job of environment protection in industrial zones and clusters. It will also focus on activities of dealing with the climate change.
In addition, it will take chances of capital resources for the sake of investment in province’s infrastructure systems. It will plan to enhance its administrative role in inspection on as many as infrastructure projects in the province.
The provincial government is to make more join-efforts in providing effective supports to and close cooperation with enterprises and investors under operation in the province.
The mission of implementing social works, it is revealed several key jobs. Firstly, it will focus on the innovation and development of education and training. Secondly, it will continually improve the quality of healthcare and treatment in as many as clinics and health stations in the province.Thirdly, it will change the method of vocational training to be more suitable with the current needs of employers that is expected to create more jobs for provincial trained labors, contributing to the poverty reduction. Finally, it will continually develop as many as factor of culture, sport, tourism, communication, and science.
Closing the conference, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee Le Viet Chu directed locality’s leaders to work out a detail activity plans of key missions and resolutions, so that they can implement well the 2015 plan of socio-economic development set forth.
Particularly, he requested his partners to make a specific milestones and progress of each work before being submitted to the Provincial People’s Committee.
