Troops on Nui Le Island receive Tet gifts

PANO – Troops on Nui Le Island of Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago received Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts on January 16th from a mission of the Naval Region 4 Command on ship HQ-571.

The gifts, including mainly food and necessities, are to help them enjoy a warm Tet (Lunar New Year) festival in 2015.


Senior Colonel Phan Ngoc Quang, Deputy Commissar of Brigade 146 of the Naval Region 4 Command and the delegation’s Head, wished the troops a happy Lunar New Year while firmly protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.


For his part, Major Tran Nhu Nam, Head of the island’s Nui Le A islet, thanked the attention of the Party, State, Ministry of National Defence, Naval Region 4 and people from the mainland, and promised to fulfill all assigned tasks.
