PANO – Ho Chi Minh City always welcome and create favorable conditions for US businesses to invest in the city.
Chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan made this affirmation at a reception for visiting US Ambassador Theodore Osius on January 16th.
Greeting the newly appointed ambassador, the host voiced his pleasure at the development in the Vietnam-US friendly ties and cooperation in various fields, particularly in trade, education, training, and healthcare, and briefed the guest on the city’s socio-economic growth.
The host also hoped the US would continue to support the two sides’ businesses and strengthen the bilateral relationship.
In response, the guest expressed his impression on the dynamic development of Ho Chi Minh City, believing more US companies would invest in the city this year, and hoped that non-stop flights between Ho Chi Minh City and California for the two countries’ benefits would soon be restored.
In 2014, the Vietnamese city welcomed more than 250,000 US tourists and licensed 300 US-invested projects worth US$ 600 million.
