PANO – A contest “the national seas and islands and naval soldiers” was launched on February 10th by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee in association with the Vietnam People’s Navy.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, Deputy Commissar of the Navy, held that the contest helps troops and people learn more about 60 years of construction and development of the Vietnam People’s Navy and the image of naval soldiers, contributing to raising troops and people’s awareness of the need to firmly protect the national sacred sovereignty over seas and islands.
Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Anh Tuan urged the organization panel to hold the contest practically and economically.
Contestants could learn the contest’s regulations, questions and relating information at the union’s website and http://doanthanhnien.vn, or major newspapers’ printed and online matters, and then send their entries to headquarters of provinces and youth unions in their hometowns.
Besides, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners living in Vietnam could send their entries to the Navy’s Youth Board, No.38 Dien Bien Phu Street, Hai Phong city or its email: banthanhnienhaiquan@gmail.com.
The organization panel will present prizes to winners at the ceremony to mark the 60th foundation day of the Navy on May 7th 2015.
