Labour export saw positive signs at the beginning of this year. At present, Taiwan (China) is still the biggest receiver of Vietnamese labourers with nearly 11,000 travelling there to work in January and February, accounting for 63.4% of the total number of Vietnamese guest workers. Taiwan (China) is considering receiving Vietnamese labourers to work in the fisheries sector and as domestic help. The MOLISA and the Overseas Labourer Management Department are doing their utmost to negotiate an expansion of opportunities for Vietnamese labourers in this labour market.
