Accordingly, the city targets to bring all poor families in 6 districts out of poverty before the city 10th Party Congress in August while also assisting 56 communes to achieve the criteria required to satisfy the poverty reduction program by building new style rural areas before May.

It will also strive to help 25,000-30,000 nearly-poor families to exceed the city’s nearly poor level, with an income of VND21 million or more per person per year, lowering the near poverty rate to some 2%.

The city People’s Committee has agreed with the transfer of capital from the fund for vocational training and job creation for those whose land is revoked for the city’s investment projects to the poverty reduction program. In addition, it will assign the Bank for Social Policies to give loans to this group of people and add more capital for the lending program for job creations and some other social welfare programs in the city./.
