Phu Tho presents boats to Truong Sa soldiers

PANO – The Vietnam People’s Navy on March 15th received two patrol boats, numbered PT-01 and PT-02, to troops stationed on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

At a speed of 20 nautical miles per hour, the boat, designed by the Navy’s Technique Institute and built by the Naval Technique Department’s Factory X46, meets patrol missions’ requirements in Truong Sa.


Phu Tho province gave the gifts to soldiers in order to show its responsibility to Truong Sa soldiers in particular, and to national sovereignty over sea and islands in general.


Rear Admiral Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy, appreciated the province’s deed.
