Students from Hanoi universities had an opportunity to act as National Assembly deputies in a plenary session to discuss and approve a resolution on addressing occupations for university graduates.
The event was held in Hanoi on March 13 as part of a cooperative project between the NA Office and the UK Embassy in Vietnam to draw youth attention to parliamentary activities, said Vice Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Si Dung.
The session was attended by students from the Hanoi Law University, Hanoi Open University, and Academy of Journalism and Communication.
In January , students also held a mock meeting of the NA Committee on Social Affairs, debating policies and legal documents for graduate occupations.
UK Ambassador to Vietnam Giles Lever said the programmes give the youth insight into the monitoring role of the National Assembly and the accountability of the Government on social issues while raising their understanding of policymaking and protecting adolescent interests.-VNA
