On March 30, Mr. Le Viet Chu – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of related departments received Mrs. Rena Bitter – the U.S. Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the reception, the PPC’s Chairman Chu welcomed the visiting of U.S. Consul General and her delegation, meanwhile informed about the province’s socio-economic situation in recent years as well as introduced potentiality and advantages of the province.
Simultaneously, the Chairman suggested the Consul General, with her role and prestige, would become the bridge in the coming time to introduce the U.S. businesses to invest, do business in Quang Ngai province in calling for investment sectors in such sectors as petrochemical technology, tourism, agriculture, education, English language training, etc.
Mrs. Rena Bitter – Consul General of US in Ho Chi Minh City was grateful to the provincial leaders for their warm welcome in her first visit to Quang Ngai province. She also expressed her glad for the positive development of the province.
The Consul General shared the desire that in the future, the United States and Vietnam would further enhance mutual understanding; promote communication, cooperation and mutual benefit development in appropriate areas.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Rena Bitter said that she will also introduce U.S. enterprises to seek investment opportunities in Quang Ngai province.
