Cao Bang Young Entrepreneurs Association: Actively Joining Hands for Community Benefit

In 2014, the economic situation caused a lot of difficulties for the business community. However, the Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEA) of Cao Bang province has been constantly confirming its role as the representative to young entrepreneurs of the province, helping enterprises to gradually overcome difficulties and challenges, stabilise production business, guarantee sustainable development and make certain contributions to the development of Cao Bang province and to the country’s young entrepreneurs movement, particularly in the field of social security.


In 2004, Cao Bang Young Entrepreneurs Association was established with initially 38 members. To present, the number of member has increased to 68 operating in the fields including production of construction materials, minerals, construction investment and services. The total annual revenue of those enterprises reaches over VND1 trillion; submission to the State budget over hundreds of billion dong. After more than 10 years of establishment, with the common goal of corporate sustainability, its members have received the backing of the large enterprise system in the province. Cao Bang Young Entrepreneurs Association often holds activities to support businesses, implement effectively programmes for members using services of one another’s, have economic exchanges, meet with government leaders and hold policy dialogues and culture and sport exchanges to support members to firmly stand, develop, integrate into the economy of the country and the world, and enhance competitiveness, thereby contributing to improving skills, knowledge and experience for members, helping them become confident, dynamic, creative in production and business, making them develop effectively. Many businesses in the association have boldly, confidently applied measures to promote internal forces, enlisted the help of all levels and sectors, restructured organisation and production plans, and promoted development of their advantages.


Many of the province’s young entrepreneurs have been awarded with “Vietnam Gold Star”, Jewelry Queen Vietnam contest and other awards in competitions held in the country and abroad. The “Building business culture” programme with several typical activities including young entrepreneur culture day, Vietnam’s entrepreneur celebration has created close network with the Young Entrepreneurs Associations of Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, etc.


Along with the strong construction and development of the association and ensuring the efficiency in production and business, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, along with its member enterprises, is interested in responding to the social security programme in the locality. In 2014, the Young Entrepreneurs Association and its members actively collaborated with the provincial Fatherland Front to carry out 14 social charity programmes with the amount of VND5 billion including activities such as “New year for the poor,” “Supporting Truong Sa Island,” “Building houses for the poor,” “Lighting confidence and encouragement scholarship,” “Building preschools in Pac Bo,” etc.


Mr Hoang Manh Ngoc, Director of Western Construction Co., Ltd cum Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Association said: “Social responsibility is one of the decisive factors in shaping an enterprise’s image and brand in the society. Thus, despite the context of more economic challenges, the business and entrepreneur community in the province, besides putting efforts to overcome difficulties and focusing all resources to boost production and business, many members of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of the province are actively participating in charitable activities, joining hands for community benefits.”


Noting the achievements of entrepreneurs and enterprises of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of the province have gained in business and production and the aim for community benefits, in 2014, the Cao Bang Young Entrepreneurs Association was awarded Merit certification for outstanding achievements in the operation and movement of young entrepreneur of the province by the Prime Minister and the provincial People’s Committee. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association awarded the association with Honour Flag in recognition of outstanding achievements in organizing association and young entrepreneur movement. The association was also awarded with medal for contributions to the development of Vietnam’s Young Entrepreneur Association and Certificate of Merit for 10 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in movement activities of the association.


Under the spirit of “Solidarity- Innovation-Development”, the province’s Young Entrepreneurs Association is calling all members and young entrepreneurs of the province to unleash their creativity, participate in the implementation of the objectives of the province socio-economic development, contribute to gradually build a brand for businesses in the province, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises in international integration, continue to strengthen the promotion of the activities of the Association, develop new members and improve the quality of its members, promote culture and social responsibility for young entrepreneurs.
