Authorized by the Public Security Ministry, the Hai Duong Provincial Police on April 1 handed over 10 fire-engines aided by the Japanese Government.
With shifted steering wheels and complete repair, the vehicles can be put into use
The units receiving the vehicles are the Divisions of Fire Prevention and Fighting, Rescue, and Salvage Police of the Provincial Police of Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Ninh Binh, and Lang Son.
These vehicles are part of a nonrefundable aid package of the Japanese Government for Vietnam.
The fire-engines were received by the Hai Duong Provincial Police in late September 2014 and repaired with steering wheels shifted to ensure that their technical specifications are consistent with Vietnam’s legal provisions.
Reportedly, apart from the 10 fire-engines handed over this time, the Japanese Government has also aided several localities in Vietnam with vehicles and means for fire fighting, rescue, and salvage many times.
