PANO – Over 500 veterans, who served in army-civilian health service in the Southeast battlefield of Zone D, including Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, met in the city on April 11th.
At the event, the former soldiers recalled their glorious traditions in providing healthcare for troops and locals during the resistance war against American invaders, contributing to the liberation of South of Vietnam and national reunification.
On this occasion, the Liaison Board of the former battlefield presented ten scholarships, worth VND 3 million each, to needy students at the Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University.
