During the national anti-American resistance war, the brigade’s troops wiped out thousands of enemy troops, and destroyed and seized many weapons and equipment, contributing to the glorious victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the national reunification.

After 1975, they continued to do the international duty in Cambodia and to protect the national borders in the North.

For their achievements, the State President presented them with the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” on December 16th 2014.

Last year, the bridge’s traditional liaison board actively organized gratitude activities to help its needy members.

The same day, the Phu Yen provincial People’s Committee gathered and presented gifts to veterans who were imprisoned in the Can Tho prison by the enemy, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day.
