International cruise ship Costa Atlantica carrying 2,200 passengers and crew members on June 14 anchored at the SP-PSA port in the coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, making its first visit to Vietnam.
The four-day trip, arranged by Vietnamese tour operator Saigontourist, will takes visitors to interesting destinations in Ho Chi Minh City, the southern province of Tien Giang and central cities including Hue, Hoi An and Da Nang besides Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
European cruise company Costa Crociere S.p.A, owner of the ship, is planning to hold 17 trips to Vietnam in total. The next trip is planned to be in March next year.
In the first five months of this year, Saigontourist welcomed 83 ships with 162,000 visitors and crew on board.
