(VOV) -Vietnamese navy ships HQ 011 and HQ 012 docked at Cam Ranh port in central Khanh Hoa province on June 30, successfully concluding the 15th joint patrol with China and a visit to Zhan Jiang city in Guangdong province.
During the patrol, Vietnamese and Chinese naval forces exchanged experiences and conducted joint search and rescue training.
The Vietnamese delegation paid a courtesy visit to leaders of Zhan Jiang city and the Nanhai Fleet High Command. Delegation members also took part in cultural and sport exchanges with the Chinese fleet’s units, in addition to visiting a number of sightseeing places around the city.
The joint patrol aimed to promote friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the Vietnamese and Chinese armies and navies, and increase the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation in maintaining order and security in the Tonkin Gulf and settling disputes and conflicts in territorial waters.
