The HCM City Department of Education and District 11-based Dam Sen Culture Park have gifted textbooks to thousands of poor students in neighbouring provinces for the 2013-14 school year.
They gave 2,500 sets of books to students in Binh Phuoc Province, 2,000 in Bac Lieu Province, and 1,000 in the central Province of Quang Nam.

441 housing projects set to be scrapped
The Ministry of Construction announced it has withdrawn the licences issued for 411 housing projects in 38 cities and provinces.
Of them, 322 were in HCM City. Ha Noi has yet to report its figures.
