(VOV) – The Vietnam Golf Society and the Vietnam Business Association in China have jointly organised a charity golf tournament for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam.
The event, held at Shuangying Golf Course, Beijing, on June 2, was part of a support campaign for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims, run by the Vietnamese Embassy in China. It drew the participation of Ambassador Nguyen Van Tho, and many overseas Vietnamese representatives and entrepreneurs in China.
A total of 15,000 Chinese Yuan (approximately VND51 million) was raised at the tournament. The money, together with other donations from other benefactors in Beijing, will be transferred to the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA).
All Vietnamese Embassy staff also donated their one-day salary to support Dioxin victims in the homeland.
